WaterColor Retreat

WaterColor Retreat

Designer: Karen Waterfield

This urban contemporary beach home was built by John Brown of Gulfview Construction, architect Mathew Savoie, and interior designer Karen Waterfield. This home in the WaterColor community along Scenic Highway 30-A overlooks Western Lake and features design elements such as custom cabinetry and barn doors. The cabinets are constructed of beetle kill pine wood from the owner’s home state of Colorado. The custom wood-and-metal spiral staircase from Arcways is accentuated with a chandelier designed by Beautiful Lights. Karen worked closely with Florida Bath for the extensive tile work throughout the home. The fully functioning outdoor living area faces an invisible-edge pool, complete with color-changing LED mood lighting. The fourth-floor deck and cupola are furnished with outdoor seating for relaxing afternoons or watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.
